Eight Avonians Selected for National Juried Photography Exhibition

After receiving the most awards at this year's Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards, our artists have once again earned themselves awards and recognition, this time through the Drexel University High School Photography Contest.

This year, over 2,100 photographs were submitted from schools across the country. In the end, only 190 photos were selected to be included in the exhibition. Selection into the juried exhibition reflects not only technical photography skills, but also, creativity, and artistic vision. Avon Old Farms had eight different students earn a spot in the exhibition. One student, Chris Nazarian '26 even earned an honorable mention, meaning his submission placed in the top six of all submissions. This marks the sixth time in the last seven years an Avonian has placed in the top six—an unrivaled accomplishment. The national exhibition will be on display at the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design in Philadelphia from February 2 through February 28. See all of the selected student photos below:
